Good afternoon, We’d like to update our patients regarding our office’s policies as Knoxville continues to combat the spread of COVID-19. If you will be coming in for an appointment, please take a moment to read through our policies and do not hesitate to contact us with any questions at (865)437-3166.... If you or anyone in your household has been in contact with a person that has been diagnosed with COVID-19 within 14 days prior to your appointment, kindly notify our office before your appointment. If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 such as fever, persistent cough, shortness of breath, or stuffy/runny nose please let us know so that we can reschedule your visit after you are feeling better. Please call when you arrive in the parking lot, as we are limiting the number of people in our office at this time. You will be asked a few questions pertaining to COVID-19, and your temperature will be checked with a contactless thermometer as you enter the office. All patients, parents, and guardians should wear a face covering, fitted properly over their nose and mouth, at all times while in the office. Each of our staff will also be wearing a properly fitted mask. Only one parent or guardian should accompany a minor into the office to ensure that social distancing procedures can be met. Please take a moment to wash your hands upon entering our office. Hand sanitizer is also readily available. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience to you and appreciate your cooperation. We are striving to do all we can to ensure the health and safety of our patients and staff as we continue to serve you during this unprecedented time.

We would like to share with everyone Dr. Rhyne and his winter work. A man of many talents spent approximately 160 - 170 hours in winter of 2016, hand stitching this beautiful quilt the Double Card Trick. It now hangs in the hallway outside the exam rooms.

Well today has been an exciting but some what sad day, we said see you later for a bit to these two. Seth and Caitlin head to Pikeville for the next adventure of Optometry School. We and our patients will certainly miss them and look forward to their return as Dr. and Mrs. Seth Rhyne. Help us wish them best of luck.

Greetings patients! Tomorrow, we are rolling out new patient communication software with will include SMS appointment reminders, two way text with staff members, online COVID-19 screening and more! That being said, we wanted to make you aware of a couple of things: 1) If you get a reminder and it seems like it might be at the wrong time, please contact us ASAP. 2) The texts will be coming from a temporary number. You can call us back at this number, but as we get further into... our integration process messages will start coming from our usual phone number. 3) You can actually text us back! Wish us luck! We hope that you find this new service useful!
